THE DRUM ROASTING PROCESS IN DETAIL

The heart of TOPER’s drum roasters is a horizontal roasting drum which is equipped with curved blades that will mix and circulate the coffee beans during the roasting process. Two options of heating are offered with our industrial roasters:

  • Thermal transfer heating (flames under the drum)
  • Hot Air / Convection heating via pulled heat coming from a combustion chamber under the drum

BENEFITS FOR YOUR COFFEE AND OPERATION

The roasting times of our drum roaster lie between 10 and 18 minutes. As heat is applied to the coffee beans over a longer period, a particularly high level of flavor is developed. The TKM SX drum roaster offers this and many other benefits:
